Marmocchio 2019 DOC Todi Sangiovese
Sangiovese Grosso (85%) and Sagrantino (15%). Spontaneous fermentation on natural yeasts Vineyard rows #110-148
Marmocchio: means "rascal" in Italian. Our larger Sangiovese “grosso” grape is blended with Sagrantino - the ancient red grape found only in Umbria. After a long maceration period the wine is raked and transferred into 500 lt or 1200 lt French oak barrels, where it rests between 18 to 24 months. Only produced in excellent growing years and aged a minimum of 6 years,
Marmocchio is a smooth, elegant red – our pride and joy.
